Discord Bot Handbook

The Bot Handbook is a set of commands that can be called from any Discord channel to provide Beanstalk related knowledge and links. Commands are listed in the #πŸ“–γƒ»bot-handbook channel. Updates are performed in Dyno.

Required:

Admin or Mod Discord account.

Instructions to add or edit commands:

  1. Go to https://dyno.gg/ and β€œLogin with Discord”.
  2. Select β€œBeanstalk”.
  3. Select β€œModules”.
  4. Under β€œCustom Commands”, select β€œSettings”.
  5. Select β€œAdd Command” or β€œEdit” an existing command.
  6. The β€œName” of the command is how it will be called from Discord. For example, a command called β€œbean” is called from Discord as β€œ?bean”.
  7. Commands must have a blank space in the β€œCommand” field or they will not be editable after saving.
  8. Put the contents of the command in β€œAdd/Edit Embed”.
  9. Each command should have a β€œField” where the first field is β€œView other commands in” and the second field is β€œ<#1000091630428225647>.” This prints β€œView other commands in #πŸ“–γƒ»bot-handbook.” at the end of the command.
  10. If you have added or deleted a command, edit the embed in the #πŸ“–γƒ»bot-handbook channel. See Discord: Message Embedder for instructions. The embed is close to the character limit. If you are unable to type in the input box, you will need to remove some existing content.
  11. You can test your command in the #πŸ€–γƒ»bot-playground channel.
